American police officer screamed at an uber driver with mocking accent
The video presents plainclothes police officer who was caught on camera as he screamed at an Uber driver, mocking his accent and also pounding his car. The driver beeped at the cop when he reportedly failed to put on his blinker while backing his unmarked car into a parking spot. ’How long have you been in this country?’ screams the NYC cop at one point, and according to one passenger he also threw things in the car.
Both passengers can be heard assuring the driver that he did nothing wrong, urging him to simply agree with the cop as they film everything. The video was posted by one of the passengers, Sanjay Seth. A plainclothes police officer has been caught on camera screaming at an Uber driver while pounding on his car. The cop yells at one point; ’I don’t know where you’re coming from, where you think you’re appropriate in doing that; that’s not the way it works. How long have you been in this country?’ Moments later the cops returned with a ticket after he has pounded on this car.
As the driver agrees with everything the cop says, he manages to cut off the man, which sends him into another tirade. Uber said in a statement; ’The behavior in the video is wrong and unacceptable and we appreciate the NYPD investigating the incident. We are in touch with our driver-partner who was subjected to this terrible experience and will continue to provide any support he needs. The officer also mocks the drivers’ accent throughout and his pronunciation of certain words. The NYPD has seen the video and said in a statement; ’We are aware of the incident and video and it is under review with the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau.’
